  Previewing Pages

When a user is logged on and has been granted proper permissions on a page additional icons and links are displayed to allow access to module settings and authoring tools as well as Content Pane borders. These editing objects are not displayed to all users such as the general public. Will authoring you may need to view your page without the editing objects displayed so that you can see how your page will actually look. A convenient way to do this is by using the Preview icon.

To Preview a page will editing just click on the Preview icon in the Page Functions section in the top left of the Admin toolbar (figure 1). Your page will reload with all edting objects hidden and the Preview icon will change to Preview turned on*.

* - once preview is turned on it will remain on even if you move to another page including Admin pages. Be sure to turn off preview to continue authoring by clicking on the Preview icon again.
