Skins control the look and feel of your site. A skin is a template that is applied to each page that determines the layout and graphical design of the page. A skin can be applied to a single page or an entire site. Skins contain site logos or other images that you want to appear on every page, backgrounds, font properties and the content panes where modules may be placed.
In addition, skins also contain CMS controls that provide certain functionality to your site such as display the current date, provide a login link, insert a menu based on the heirarchal organization of your sites pages or display a copyright message.
Before your site is brought online VCOE will work together with your district in selecting the skins that you will be using on your site.
