Editing HTML  

The HTML module can be edited two ways. By using the builtin CMS text editor for content that requires you to add complex objects such as links, images, and tables or the inline editing feature when working with text and text-only formatting.

Note: When using the inline editing feature your changes will be automatically saved. In order to cancel your changes when inline editing press your 'ESC' key.

To edit the module content:

On the module menu, click Edit Text (Figure 1) -

On the HTML Edit page (Figure2) -

Use the text editor as you would any other editor. The toolbar buttons let you format your text and add hyperlinks, tables, bulleted lists, etc. You can also past in content from another source (like an existing web page). Any images will need to be uploaded to your site before being inserted into the content. Altenately you can enter in HTML code directly be clicking on the HTML tab at the bottom of the editor. Check out the Using the Editor page for more info.

Search Summary (Optional) - Enter a summary of the content here that the CMS Search Engine can use to index the module content. If left blank then the module content itself will be used.

Once all values have been set click on the Update link located at the bottom of the page.

  Inline Editing   Minimize

The inline editing feature allows you to directly change the Text/HTML module title and content without using the 'Edit Text' or 'Settings' links. When using inline editing you will only be able to create new text content and perform minimal text formatting using standard shortcut key combinations such Ctrl-B (bold), Ctrl-I (italics), Ctrl-C (copy), etc.

Note: When using the inline editing feature your changes will be automatically saved. In order to cancel your changes when inline editing press your 'ESC' key.


To edit the module's title
:

Hover over the title text and click the edit icon when it appears (Figure 3) -

Type over the existing module tile. When complete either press 'ESC' to cancel your changes or hover over the title text and use the editing toolbar  to save or cancel your changes.


To edit the module's content
:

Hover over the contect text and click the edit icon when it appears (Figure 4) -

Type over the existing content. Use the Inline Edit toolbar  to apply simple text formatting. When complete either press 'ESC' to cancel your changes or use the toolbar to save or cancel you changes.
