The Announcements module can be used to present a list of items with short descriptions that you would like to emphasize. Basically its a beefed up set of links. You can use it to advertise specific areas of content that you would like to direct your users to like a page or document on your site or to another website altogether.

Each announcment is edited seperately which means from a creation and maintainabilty standpoint it is very easy to work with individual announcement items.

Note: This module uses CMS file security. In order to allow users to download documents you must give 'All Users' View permission to the folder that the document resides in using the File Manager.
